Please Ring Your Bells and Pass it on !!
Here at St Mary's Church in Princes Risborough, we started today to ring our large church bell for 15 minutes at 2pm when some of our boys were being "Repatriated" through Wootton Bassett.
As the Royal British Legion's National President, Lt Gen Sir John Kiszely, said of the regular turn-out in Wootton Bassett: "No one organised it, no one requested it. It happened because it was the right thing to do, and our members stood ready to give these fallen heroes the honour they so richly deserve."
We are hoping others may also like to show respect by ringing their church bells, so if you could forward this to other churches, that would help. There is usually a clear notice about the next Repatriation at the top of the Wootton Bassett Town Council's homepage at:
